As we continue our content creators series, we once again feature Shawn D Rochester and his #BlackTaxed movement. It is a reality that there is a black tax. From birth African Americans deal with issues in education, housing, land ownership, criminalization, nutrition and access to capital. Even in areas where blacks have always excelled like athletics and entertaintainment, there was still a limit to access to the marketplace (see #JackieRobinson in major league baseball or #EarlLloyd in basketball). African Americans since they were slaves, have always been playing catch up...systematically. This book and movement speaks to the Black Tax.
